Our Story
The Cate Brothers (Tom & Walt) started playing together in the sandbox in 1975. There are verified reports that sharing the Tonka Toys didn’t go well, leaving a scar as evidence on Walt's nose. In the last 51 years, the brothers learned how to share Tonka Toys and absolutely love being able to work together with the family and team. Work moved out of the sandbox and into the community in 1996 when Cate Brothers officially became a company. Since then, the jobs and the team have both grown, but the mission has stayed the same: serving the Northern Colorado communities with high quality excavating services.
